Description
Action Item Hotbar is a Soulslike-style Item Hotbar System built to extend Game Creator 2’s Inventory workflow. Easy to use and ready to rock!
Equip items in the inventory as usual, then let the hotbar handle the rest.
This system ensures that only the currently selected item is equipped. Players cycle through items, equip one at a time, with a workflow that feels right for action-heavy gameplay.
Supports multiple hotbars, one per equipment slot (right hand, left hand, consumable, etc), without fighting against GC2's Inventory system.
🔧 How it works
- Uses GC2’s Inventory system
- Replace BagEquipUI with EquipmentSlotUI
- Add BagCellEquipToSelectedSlot to Bag Cell UI Prefab
- Equip items as usual
- Cycles through hotbar slots
- Only the active item is equipped
- Enable hotkeys for using items
- Automatically unequips the previous one
- Keeps inactive items fully unequipped
- Fully compatible with Save / Load
